Notre Dame Bowling Team Places Third In State

By Emma Pace

After pulling out an astounding region championship, the Notre Dame bowling team made their way to the state. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, no fans could be there to cheer them on as they competed in the tournament, playing against some tough competition.  They defeated Briarcrest with a score of 14.5 to 12.5.  After a tough match against Pope John Paul High School, the boys placed third overall in state. Congratulations, Irish!

In the individual tournament, senior CJ Petrin was ready to take the title of Individual State Champion. Last year’s Mr. Bowling received victory after beating Brendan Donlevy of Briarcrest. The entire team amazed Notre Dame students with their hard work, dedication, and amazing triumphs. The bowling team went up against the best of the best in Tennessee and showed everyone why Notre Dame cheers so loudly for the Irish, even when they cannot be there in person.
