After a long season of hard work, the Lady Irish have placed second in the state volleyball championship! Last Thursday, Notre Dame students traveled to Murfreesboro to cheer on the girls, decked out in green. Bishop Sticka even granted an official day off to celebrate the team’s achievements. Furthermore, the 2006 Notre Dame volleyball team, who won the state championship, sent in words of encouragement for the girls before the big day.
The game was intense, the crowds were roaring, and the team was more determined than ever. For the seniors, this would be their final game on the team. No matter how the day ended, all students, faculty, and alumni could not have been prouder of how this season went. The volleyball team ended up winning second place in the championship. Congratulations, girls!
